Web 2.0
In the first of a serie of articles written for the french daily
Libération*,
Pierre Chappaz** talks about the new wave of the
Web 2.0***, that, according to him, gives a new breath to the internet. The article in question has the suggestive title
"Web 2.0: it's Internet that is beeing reinvented!".
However, what's really
Web 2.0?
Pierre Chappaz give us some aspects of this new phase
of internet growth and help us to understand what is happening in what is already called the new leap forward in internet use as a working tool as well as - and mainly - as a mean of information.
The expression Web 2.0 comprises, actually, different realities:
a new wave of creation of Internet websites, important technological evolutions, and a behaviour changing of users that, from simply readers, become information producers.*
A visitor is no more
only a reader, as he organizes his way the information he needs and shares it within
open spaces, or on
platforms, to other visitors or to a community of visitors.
New services that use
more recent technologies
(
Ajax,
RSS) are transforming internet websites in creators and
content promoters.
Thanks to this, internet retake its big dream of a shared space as well as collaborative. Blogs, collective publications of information, photos, videos and themes about technological aspects contribute to internet comeback to the effervescence of its firt years.
